Just stopping by to say hello.  I answered a few emails, FB messages, liked a few things, shipped a pattern and checked my Etsy shop.  I'm still trying to get used to this new schedule at work.  Hopefully everything will fall in place.  How has your day been?

Today is my BIRTHDAY! Craft Book Review on Make a Wish Cross Stitch

I GOT THE JOB!!  Yeah!!  I started today and so far so good.  It doesn't pay much but it has room for potential.  Also more stability for a future.  Cross-Stitching- I did some last night and time got away from me.  I'm hoping this doesn't happen often (losing time that is).  Working full time again and getting back into a routine may take some time.

I have a new project to work on.  It's a portrait of my step-dad.  I think it's going to turn out great.  How I choose and the process I use goes like this....I take the photo and change it into 3 different versions (color, b/w and b/w with a shadow frame).  I then enter each picture into 2 different cross stitch programs and manipulate the size, number of colors, and shape on each one creating 9 images.  I chose the best 3 of 9 and let the customer (in this case my dad) choose which one they want.  I then create it fully from there.  In his case, I am actually stitching it.  I can't wait to see how it's going to turn out.  Pic2pat is a good program for a quickie but you can't manipulate anything and the colors don't always look as good.  I haven't developed 3 of 3 in my "How to" series on YouTube because I'm not sure how I want to present the information.  There is a lot of work that goes into creating a portrait or even a drawing.  We shall see.

No word on the testing as of yet but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty good.  I should know something soon and hopefully have a job by next week.  What a blessing and relief.

Sooooo, I have to put my update/tag video into 2 clips and you wouldn't believe what I had to go though to put those together.  My new SD card won't format and i was going to lose it all.  I'm switching back to the older card until I get a newer computer.

Parent teacher meeting tonight.  Mattson was so upset that they took her teacher away and she was moved to another class.  She seems to be transitioning pretty well.  There are bullies in that new class she WAS relieved to be away from for the first time.  She seems to be handling pretty well so far this week.  We shall see.  All I can do is educate her on how she will have to deal with lifes lessons.  We want to protect our children but the best was is arming them with the best knowledge we can to survive in an uncertain world.

SHOUT OUT to Cyndi (Stitchin Fisch) for making new videos.  How brave and Keri (Kitty Krew) for not giving up.  I love you guys and would watch you two no matter what.  Just remember that no matter what, the good will always out weigh the bad and your support with the group is on going.

I'm back.  WOO HOO.  Still trying to figure this out.

I found out that I was posted in the 122 issue of Cross Stitch Gold giveaway in the back of the magazine.  The contact was supposed to let me know.  I hadn't heard anything so I contacted her the other day and low and behold, I was posted 2 weeks ago and didn't get a copy.  That sucks, but chin up....

I forgot to format my new disc for the new camera and was about to lose all data I recorded today.  I don't know how you guys will record over and over.  There is NO WAY I could have done these over.  I'm in the process of splicing them on my camera so I can format the disc after downloading little snippits.  Should be an interesting video if I ever get it loaded.

So I thought I would start a new Blog with my daughter in mind.  It's going to be associated with my crafting channel on YouTube and Facebook but included will be a few popular toys from time to time.  Be sure to check all these out as I plan to post daily if not every other day.  I might highlight a business, a needle chart, a toy or a person.  Who knows, let's see what happens.
